Tropical Legumes Hub consolidates learning from global food legume initiatives
Scriptoria has produced an exciting new online Hub that captures the learning and impacts of a series of initiatives that developed and distributed high-yielding, climate-resilient food legume varieties to millions of poor farmers in Africa and Asia.
The Hub serves as a powerful tool that enables crop researchers and policymakers to access information on the Tropical Legumes projects in one place. A Resource Center brings together over 250 vital resources, from scientific articles to policy briefs; an interactive Country Map demonstrates outcomes and approaches; and impacts are brought to life by an engaging, highly visual digital story.
Implemented over a 12-year period with US$67 million in funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Tropical Legumes initiatives were led by three international CGIAR research organizations – ICRISAT, CIAT and IITA – and executed by national and regional partners across 15 countries.
Visit the Tropical Legumes Hub to find out more about the impacts and legacy of the initiatives.
