Scriptoria’s AgShare.Today Programme “Highly Commended” at the 2018 British Expertise International Awards
We’re very pleased to announce that Scriptoria’s AgShare.Today programme was a “Highly Commended” runner up in the 2018 British Expertise International Awards Collaborative Project category.
Judged by an independent panel chaired by HRH The Duke of Gloucester, these major international awards celebrate outstanding international achievements by companies in the UK professional services sector. The panel receives hundreds of entries each year from very large international projects, and this year’s list of entries was the largest ever we have been told.
Being placed in the runners up category was therefore a major achievement for a small project like the US$1.7 million AgShare.Today programme and a recognition of both its innovative approach and the impact AgShare is having. Only two other projects achieved the “highly commended” rating in our category, one of which was a Europe funded infrastructure investment project valued at well over £100 million.
The British Expertise judges noted that the list of entrants read “like a roll-call of the most innovative and leading UK professional services companies working internationally,” and “each and every category was fiercely contested.”
Funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) and working in partnership with Cornell University, AgShare.Today aims to accelerate the outputs and impacts of crop research programmes that combat hunger in Africa. These programmes have received over US$60 million in funding from the BMGF and the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID). AgShare.Today is therefore focused on boosting efficiency and impact by improving collaboration across these programmes, building partnerships and ensuring that results and information are shared widely.
