From world-leading research to outstanding training

At Scriptoria, our trainers do more than teach research skills. They also contribute to internationally recognised research and help advance thinking within their fields.
We are therefore delighted to congratulate our Head of Consultancy and Senior Trainer, Dr Christopher Pull, on the publication of his latest research in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), one of the world’s leading multidisciplinary scientific journals.
Before joining Scriptoria, Chris led a research group at the University of Oxford, where he worked with leading evolutionary biologists to investigate one of biology’s biggest questions: how do complex societies evolve?
As joint senior author of the new paper, Chris helped develop a mathematical framework indicating that disease may have played a much greater role in shaping the evolution of complex societies than previously understood.
This depth of academic and practical experience directly informs the training and consultancy that Scriptoria provides, and is why our courses in grant writing, scientific writing, journal publishing and research communication are delivered by specialists who have secured competitive research funding, published in leading academic journals and managed research programmes at internationally recognised universities.
