Tropical Legumes
Disseminating research on climate-resistant crops
Scriptoria supported Tropical Legumes III in communicating 12 years of research impact across 15 countries. The Tropical Legumes projects, a US$67 million series of initiatives funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, helped develop, produce and distribute high-yielding, climate-resilient food legume varieties to millions of farmers in drought-prone regions of South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.

Strategic communications in practice
Our approach
Scriptoria conceptualised, designed and built the Tropical Legumes Hub – a legacy website featuring an interactive map, fully searchable library including 100s of resources from across the projects, and a data hub visualising seed production and survey data. The hub brought together diverse information tailored for donors, policymakers, researchers and general audiences.
Impact
Our work ensured that key data and resources remained accessible and impactful beyond the project’s close, and created a lasting digital legacy to support ongoing research and policy development.
