Tackling change: Future-proofing water, agriculture, and food security in an era of climate uncertainty (IWMI, 2013)

Scriptoria’s Publications team produced this success-focused report on water and food security in the face of climate change so that the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) could showcase its work at the CGIAR’s agriculture and rural development day at COP19.

Working closely with IWMI’s research scientists, we synthesised the latest research on agricultural techniques and water governance. As well as writing the report we also designed and laid out the finished text, ensuring an attractive but easy-to-read format.

Annual Success Stories series (IsDB 2011–2013)

In 2011, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) asked Scriptoria to write a series of success stories highlighting the work of the Bank and the projects that they have funded. They also asked us to design the look of the series, and lay out the text and photos for each publication.

Scriptoria’s Publications department sent writers to Bangladesh and Tajikistan to gather source materials for some, and wrote the rest from evaluation reports provided by IsDB.

IsDB were so pleased with the result that they asked us to produce the series for a further two years.

Success Stories series (MPRLP, 2011)

Scriptoria’s Publications department produced a series of ten 4-page Success Stories for the DFID-funded Madhya Pradesh Rural Livelihoods Project (MPRLP) in order to showcase a large body of impact-rich initiatives. The work involved sending writers to areas of rural India with photographers to capture strong content. This was then packaged into a series of briefs that received considerable attention from policy-makers and donors.

The stories covered a range of aspects of the project, including renewable energy solutions, innovative water management systems and increasing the number of women in leadership roles.
