Publications: Logos, branding and brand refresh

Scriptoria is known for producing stunning brands for development organisations all over the world. Below is a selection of some of the many looks we’ve created for different organisations over the last 10 years.

RIC logo and brand (2013)

Uganda’s Roads Industry Council (RIC) wanted a modern look that would make them really stand out as they worked to position themselves as a think tank for roads-related policy and development in Uganda.

We produced a striking clay orange and steel grey logo for RIC with a strong tagline to really make their vision clear. We then produced their website and a range of products to create a visual brand that really stands out from the crowd.

KMCC logo and brand creation (2011)

The UK-funded HIV/AIDS Knowledge Management and Communications Capacity (KMCC) programme in Uganda wanted a bright logo and look that would get them noticed.

Scriptoria created a strong logo around the concept of a speech bubble, and used that to design a website and a range of products to establish their visual identity.

GWP brand refresh (2013)

With 13 Regional Water Partnerships, 84 Country Water Partnerships, and more than 2,800 institutional Partners located in 169 countries, the Global Water Partnership (GWP) is major player in the international water arena.

In 2013, GWP asked Scriptoria to refresh their brand for their new Strategy period. The work we did was very well received by GWP, and led to the production of a wide range of image-focused materials such as conference display stands.

“We were looking for an agency to help us to refresh our visual brand. Scriptoria did this with creativity, professionalism and speed.” (Head of Communications, GWP)

CCAFS logo and brand creation (2009)

In 2009 the CGIAR’s new Climate Change, Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) programme asked Scriptoria to produce a striking new brand for them with a logo based around a globe.

With that in mind we produced the now well-known CCAFS swirl. Based on this we developed their website and a whole range of products to give them a striking, modern visual identity that has stood the test of time.

RIU logo refresh and brand creation (2006)

Research Into Use came to us in 2006 because they felt that their current brand wasn’t working. Although their basic logo was strong, they wanted a much more striking look that presented them as a professional programme with high levels of technical expertise.

Scriptoria’s design team therefore refreshed their logo and, based on that, produced a new visual identity that lasted throughout the two phases of this £37.5 million programme.

SPARC brand creation (2009)

In 2009 SPARC asked Scriptoria to develop a new look for this £60 million programme. We focused on a light, bright look with the aim of making it stand out from the programmes around it. Since sourcing photographs can be difficult in Nigeria, we trained and commissioned local photographers to take the type of photos SPARC needed to build its look.

Once the new look was in place we created a website and visuals for various lines of products to create brand integrity.

MPRLP brand creation (2009)

The Madhya Pradesh Rural Livelihoods Project (MPRLP) was a £45 million (DFID-funded) project working to eliminate rural poverty by empowering rural households in rural India.

MPRLP asked Scriptoria to produce a vibrant modern brand that built on the logos that they already had while strongly communicating the project’s Indian roots.
