Publications: Client case studies

Our clients often find it useful and cost-effective to outsource the majority of their communications to us. In this way, we can act as a complete external communications department for you, giving you as much help as you need, when you need it, to make your corporate social responsibility, science or sustainable development communications shine.

Coca-Cola and UNDP Every Drop Matters programme (2013–present)

Every Drop Matters is a major corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative for Coca-Cola, who are partnering with UNDP to test new approaches to bringing water supplies and sanitation to communities in need.

Since 2013, Scriptoria has been overseeing all the project’s communications, from strategy and planning to writing and producing key products. This has included revamping their website, and writing and placing articles in the Guardian newspaper and in various online media. We have also helped them to deliver presentations at major conferences, and run social media campaigns which include ‘live Tweeting’ through UNDP’s Twitter account.

Global Water Partnership (2006–present)

Scriptoria has been working with the Global Water Partnership (GWP) since 2006 and now produces most of GWP’s major publications – including its annual reports.

Other publications produced for GWP include a range of large reports and technical documents – such as the 108-page “Handbook for Integrated Water Resources Management in Basins”. For documents like these, Scriptoria handles the entire process for GWP, including liaising with authors, editing and rewriting where necessary, finalising and proofing the draft, and designing and laying out the final product.

C4C (2010–2011)

Coalitions for Change (C4C) worked to achieve positive change in Nigerian institutions in order to encourage better management of public resources and stronger accountability. It partnered government and civil society groups, who worked together constructively on ‘issue-based projects’, ranging from climate-change adaptation to women’s empowerment and rights for people with disabilities.

In the last year of the programme, Scriptoria was brought on board to produce a ‘close-of-project’ communications strategy and a range of documents to influence policy-makers and ensure that C4C’s work has a lasting impact. The publications produced included two series of ‘Lessons Learned’ briefs and ‘Successes’ briefs, and an illustrated easy-to-read project report, based on face-to-face interviews in Abuja.
